Earn from the gear you already own
Many households own tools and equipment that are used only a few times a year. DoRents is designed to let you share what you own, on your schedule.
How to prepare as an owner
Here is how we suggest preparing an item.
Choose items people need
Think of items you own that often sit unused: pressure washers, circular saws, DSLR cameras, event projectors, rooftop cargo boxes, or camping gear.
Inspect & clean beforehand
Ensure the item is in safe, fully working condition. Gather any essential cords, user manuals, and protective cases.
Take realistic, clear photos
Take photos in good lighting showing the entire item, any accessories included, and close-ups of existing scratches or cosmetic blemishes so renters know exactly what to expect.
Write a candid description
List model numbers, key specifications, battery life, power requirements, and any special handling tips. Honest listings rent faster and avoid misunderstandings.
Set your schedule and price
You decide when your items are available and what you ask for them. Pricing and availability tools are not live yet.
Coordinate pickup & return
Meet your renter in a safe, public spot. Walk them through basic operation and inspect condition together at both handover and return.
Setting expectations
We do not promise specific earnings, rental frequencies, or guaranteed bookings. Any income would depend on demand, item condition, and pricing. Fees and payout details have not been announced. Nothing is charged on this prelaunch site.
